Martha's Vineyard Family Campground ( Vineyard Haven )
An exciting bonus to your Island camping vacation is the delightful 45 minute ferry trip across Vineyard Sound from Woods Hole to the Vineyard. The Steamship Authority carries motor vehicles and trailers of all sizes. In addition, you can rent bikes, mopeds and autos at or near each ferry terminal. You can also obtain shuttle transportation via your choice of either taxi van or shuttle bus.
Once you are on the Island, you may prefer to get around without a car. Over 75 miles of paved bike trails and many miles of paths are available right from your site, with bicycles available for rental right here at the campground. The Island's shuttle bus service connects the campground with the ferry terminal, as well as all three down Island towns and the beaches. Buses run every 30 minutes in season.
